Perhaps a little bit early to talk of the departure of CH given that he arrived not that long ago and should be given a chance to show what he is about.

I am sure that TB will have given every consideration to the contract offered to CH when he was appointed.

That said, I think that TB will have to further open his pockets irrespective of whatever manager and FFP (Bmuff FFS)

Basically this. Don't get we wrong, l loved Gus, and to me he was, and to some extent still is, the Messiah.

He has been the only manager that we have had, for donkeys years, who has been capable of getting us to the promised land that is the Premier League.

But facts are facts, he had his big chance, and blew it. He left under a cloud, Tony Bloom would never employ him again, and l'm sure that the Messiah, (sorry, Gus), would never want to be associated with the Albion again anyway.

I thought Mark Macgee was the messiah?

Oh for heaven's sake - we got in a decent, tried and tested manager to a). steady the ship and b). save us from relegation. Both achieved. Now let's give him a chance to see what he can do.
No, I don't think we'll get promoted this season - but this club has taken some massive steps backwards since that fateful day when the Palarse coach driver turned the Gus Bus into a busted flush (in more ways than one, perhaps); CH has got a rebuilding job on - OK let him try to finish it. The lack of goals in two out of three matches is a worry though, I must admit.

Definitely out...I still can't forgive him for that tackle on Gerry Ryan that ended his career. Enough is enough...bring in a tried and tested spanish manager now.

What was it if not luck? How many games under Hughton did we hear 'Brighton nil'? Thankfully there was Blackpool (who we couldn't beat), Wigan who we couldn't beat at a crucial time and Millwall who were all marginally worse than us. That was lucky and nothing else-Hughton did not improve us one bit. That trend looks like it is going to be a feature this season.

What I said was, it was a miracle we stayed up (because we didn't score goals) so it could not have been down to just plain old luck ffs,
give the bloke a chance but not as long as the **** we had before.

I was in the Jones in camp and thought Hughton was a safe pair of hands in short term (not as safe as I'd imagined almost seeing us relegated) but ultimately uninspiring.

After 46 games, you finish where you deserve to finish. Luck doesn't come into it.

Blackpool, Wigan and Millwall simply weren't up to it last season. They weren't "unlucky" to go down, any more than we were lucky to stay up. We went and picked up points where they didn't, and despite us only winning 1 of 6 games against those three teams, they STILL couldn't finish above us in the table.

There'll be 3 more teams not up to it this season as well. We just have to ensure we're not one of them.
