Incredible save low down in first half and his distribution looked world class at times. That throw to the half way line was sensational.

He does seem to hoof it up the pitch more than Ryan did, which is a much safer feeling tbh

In the Fulham game Ian Darke was listing the clubs he has been loaned out too, just in the sense that this is a big step up.
I have been pretty impressed in how he has coped with that step.
Cant think of any mistake/error he has made in the 3 games I have seen him play this season. He even seemed gutted conceding the goal today, even though he had no chance with the deflection.

He's hopefully got the worst mistake he'll ever make out of the way early on in his career, and fortunately for him in a game where his team were 2-0 up deep into injury time. Fast forward to about 1-45 on the link below:

0ops a bit of over confidence there. Still the point is he's done well in the 3 games this season at the highest level.

Yes, that was his problem at Forest Green. Initially they were delighted with him, but too often his brain told him to go for balls that he just couldn't get, and he conceded quite a few penalties as a result and lost his place. He returned to us in January and spent 6 months with Ben Roberts as coach.

He'd improved his decision making a whole lot when he went to Rochdale!

And note how fickle are the fortunes of young footballers - he mentions training with Bailey Vose, who only left the academy 2 years ago and is now goalkeeper for Margate Town in the Isthmian League Premier, on the 7th tier of the pyramid.

The amazing thing about Bailey Vose is that he was mainly a central defender (and occasional midfielder) for Chislehurst Arrows and then Thamesmead Town all through his youth career. It was only because his team's goalkeeper got a red card in an U-16 match that he volunteered to go in goal. The 'keeper got a three-match suspension so Vose stayed between the sticks and quite enjoyed it. He was then scouted by Albion and joined the club as an U-16 schoolboy.

Amazing to think that he earned his scholarship, and a three-year professional contract, in a specialist position that he had literally been playing for only a few months.

Stayed on his line too often instead of claiming the ball.
Almost as if he’s being coached to follow the Maty Ryan playbook
