Am I the only person who doesn't have a clue why this is? What does SCC stand for?

SCC stands for South Coast Club. Earlier in the season they banned all Press photographers from the ground to entice the media to buy their offical images. All that happened was the Newspapers boycotted the club and would not write their name, replacing it with 'South Coast Club'. The Sun was the main instigator. They wouldnt even write about thier side of the game (all the reports focused on their opposition) and had cartoons of what happened. Pretty funny really.
It has stuck since then.

I know, it's RIDICULOUS.
Whether people like it or not (and some clearly don't) Southampton ARE our rivals. Not historical ones, and maybe, like with Orient and Cardiff, the rivalry won't 'stick', but this season they're competing with us for a place in the Championship and they're (fairly) local. THAT'S why there's so many threads about them this year! Why is that so hard for some people to understand? Add to that the fact their manager is a bit of a twat, they've got some gobby ex-players of ours and their fans are all wankers and it all adds up to an interesting bit of banter!
