what has Sherwood done to convince somebody that he is deserving of the job? He has a shit attitude, and achieved nothing

He's a hot upcoming manager? So was Sami - its probably because he's english, he 'knows how to get out of the league'

As you hint, he doesn't 'know how to get out of the league' because he has never managed in it. Doing it as a player (with the Massive Club with the Greatest Fans In The World) doesn't really count. Brian McDermott and Chris Hughton do know and have done it (which was also true at the beginning of the season when both were available).

But I'd disagree with the suggestion that Sami was a hot upcoming manager. His record on his own at Leverkusen was iffy.

Lets be honest Jason Roberts got Reading promoted.

Ridiculous stab in the dark. We are in NO position to gamble on an inexperienced manager who has ZERO Championship experience, just because he gobs off at his players and shows "passion" on the touchline. The bloke would start a fight on his own in a phonebox

There is a very understated manager who has worked wonders in this division before, who knows it inside out, and is currently sat there picking peanuts out of poo. His name is Brian McDermott.

think you'll find McDermott is happily installed on Arsenal's scouting network .

Not sure that Sherwood's ego would fit through the door.

Probably could do with another 'ego' in charge. I'd vote for Mr Sherwood.....hell, I'd even vote for Mrs Sherwood if it meant a change of management!
Now there's a thought. Get a woman in, what's Hope Powell up to? Only joking people, but with the January transfer window coming up they do like a bit of shopping:)

That might be whats keeping him ticking over at the moment, but I bet he'd JUMP at the chance of managing in the Championship again.

Sherwood is fruit & nut. Why else with the reasonable success that he achieved at Tottenham did they dump him? Tony would know, which IMO was why he never got passed the first hurdle here.
Sami's here to stay, and like Pardew he will turn it around.

No thanks. Just because he managed the white scum and wears 'trendy' 100% wool grey jumpers people think he's the answer. He really isn't.

Sherwood would last about half a season. He'd be in conflict with the Three Bees from day one.

apprently He turned the job down in the summer because they wouldn't get three loan players in from Spurs.

He would be brilliant or a completely flop.

The one thing you would get is committed players, other wise they will be ditched

Sherwood was the main choice when Gus left and it never happened. Not sure he would want it.

Can we afford to pay Sami off and bring him in? Doubt it

Can we afford not to sack him what would it cost £500K? What will it cost the club if we are relegated? Say we loose 7K season tickets due to relegation all paying say £44 per month, my maths reckons that's a £3,696,000 lose, + associated sales, TV revenue etc.... Sacking him is a no brainer financially imo.....
