The best way to get the rule changed would be for all 22 players to take off their shirts. See if the ref follows the rules and books all 22.

Then once they have all been booked and play resumes, they all take their shirts off again and all get sent off

As regards the ref just "applying the letter of the law", as Cahill didn't actually remove his shirt, I think the ref could have been excused for turning a blind eye to it. There was no timewasting involved, and it wasn't provoking the crowd (unless some of the girlies liked the look of his pecks).

That decision utterly stank the place out, and Bennett knows it.
