Tidal wave coming (serious)

So in answer to my question, it is not. There was no reference to Holland in that article, other than Rotterdam. To the discerning reader, they may be searching high and low across the East Coast to pinpoint its exact whereabouts. Thankfully, I studied the land reclamation in depth for Geography A-Level, so I was able to pinpoint its exact location. Sloppy journalism!
Are you sure this wasn't a misprint for Rottingdean?

Will the children of Mile Oak be safe?

Being in north Essex we are within striking distance of the east coast, if called upon.

Hope we aren't, as we f***ed both our pumps in a training exercise tonight. They are currently lying on the bay floor, in bits, awaiting replacement at 06:00 hrs tomorrow.

Fingers crossed, and all that...

so no floods yet then ?

Nope, looks like things are not as bad as first feared, although "parts of great yarmouth are beginning to flood" according to the Beeb

You want to get your expert knowledge to others, as they seem to be shitting their pants right now.

One of the reporters said they smelt sewage. Generally a false alarm as I anticipated.
