I'm sure that certain people in H block only go to bait the stewards.

Seems like a series of cock-ups and circumstances all came together last night to lead to a situation that could easily have got out of hand if it were not for the stay-aways leaving a good few spare seats for overspill. Duplicate seats numbers on tickets and non-visible seat numbers in the ground have got to lead to chaos and frayed tempers, especially on the visit of a (formerly) big club. Could have been a lot worse than it was. But in the end there were so many spare seats that the stewards got away with doing nothing.

All these things are the responsibility of the club and must be fixed before the next 'big' game. They don't look that difficult to fix either.

Oh, and what does duplicate ticket numbers do to the offical attendance numbers for last night, does anybody know? Was the actual number higher or lower than the declared figure, or was it the same?

Hi Dave :bigwave:

Seriously, ask the club is a pointless excercise in all honesty, I don't think anyone missed it other than those who like to back slap insider and the club etc, anything slightly difficult gets deleted.

BTW, I dunno when it happened but it looks like only one mod is on duty at present :D

As far as I know, it's the numbers clicked through the turnstiles not the number of tickets sold.

Watching the last few minutes on the running track, i over heard the guy next to me talking to 2 stewards saying "you heard that steward over there to tell me to f*** off right?" both the stewards he was talking to confirmed that they did and will be delt with. The guy said he was also going to contact the club, hope he does.

Overall it wasn't one of there better nights.

Not a single seat number is now visible in Row A of Blocks H&J. This normally never bothers Roz or me, since we are the Nobby No-Mates who usually have the whole row to ourselves. But not last night.

The Club should either replace the seat number labels or stop selling tickets. I have a horrible feeling they'll choose the second option.

:nono:

A very good point. Its exactly the same in F block. Personally, I'm amazed that a safety certificate is granted for a ground that is so badly labelled (paper stickers were never going to last long, were they?)
