If the rest of City's squad take their entire old schools to Wembley, they might get to 29,000...

As earlier post says, I 'phoned club this morning and they said they will start preparing a duplicate list from 330ish this afternoon if your tickets haven't arrived so they can be collected from Wembley Box Office.

Fat lot of use that is, if the supreme logistical machine which organised the distribution of tickets can't be trusted to post a couple of tickets ( paid for and confirmed on the 22nd March ) why should they be trusted to organise a duplicate list?
How do the ticketless get confirmation that their duplicate tickets have been arranged?
What if they arrive Saturday morning? Do we still have to go to the Box Office?

Two cardboard tickets in a stamped addressed envelope, how difficult is that? Amazon do far more numerous and much more intricate deliveries every flipping day!

Bunch of useless pillocks.

Firstly, you really can't compare to Amazon who do millions of deliveries every week to a ticket distribution which for the club is a one off.

This will be the first time they have sold 35,000 tickets in a short space of time since 2005 I would guess. Normal ticket staff levels allow for selling a few tickets for home games and a maximum of 3,000 for an away game.

For this massive increase, they had a few weeks notice of 35,000 tickets. No doubt they have been working round the clock to get this done but it would be understandable if the odd mistake was made.

Equally the royal mail is not exactly 100% reliable either.

Hope they come before the game, unlike Ticketmaster who two years ago sent my Biffy Clyro tickets out which I received 2 weeks after the event! Went to the box office as advised to collect duplicates and was effectively told I was lying. Drove all the way back from Wembley to Sussex missing the gig - 4hour round trip wasted. I did eventually get a refund (as a week later I was advised there was a printing problem and they could tell the barcode for the seats had not been used) but no compensation for my wasted time and petrol. Email tickets is the way to go now in my view.

When you make enquiries you eventually get through a company in Manchester.
I'm not comparing the Albion ticket office to Amazon.
Stop making excuses please, you are not helping.
So, back to my other questions

Hi all.

I was able to get 4 tickets for the semi-final on Saturday, they are Club Wembley - Centre Circle Club. I bought these tickets from a friend at work as it was nice area for the family, sadly we are not able to go due to personal circumstances so I need to pass them on to someone who may be interested. The tickets are right on the halfway line, they include all food and drinks served at the centre circle club in Wembley.

The Block number is 227, Row 2, seats 5,6,7,8 - you can check the view here :- http://www.wembleystadium.com/plan-your-visit/stadium-guide/view-from-your-seat#

I paid £600 for the tickets but I am willing to let them go for £400 (£100 each)

The tickets are via Club Wembley Email and in the name of Accounts Team - so no specific ID is required

If anyone is interested please drop me an email on ganeshk@msn.com or DM me on the forum

wish I'd waited now - they are cracking seats and at £100 each well worth it - someone will get a good deal here - good luck

Thanks for that SSA. You can probably tell i'm more that a bit peeved off.
I got the coach tickets for me and the lad and would prefer not to get all that way to be told that we can't get in.

Pretty much this. Plus it wasn't the ticket office at the club who were selling tickets, certainly the woman l spoke to when I booked mine on the phone worked for an outside ticket agency based up north, who the club had employed to sell tickets on their behalf, as obviously the club ticket office couldn't deal with the logistics of such a large event.

Whether it's the outside agency, or the club, who are sending out the tickets I don't know.

It's annoying, I agree.

However I've had to do this a couple of times for away games and each time I've turned up they have had my tickets. Take the booking confirmation email with you just in case, but Im sure you'll be completely fine. I can't recall a single instance being reported of someone buying a ticket that they had to collect and then not getting in. It will be fine.

They just don't have the nationwide following that similar clubs of their current 'stature' possess, who could sell out Wembley 7 days running against Forest Green Rovers.

Give it a few years and they will, with all the glory-hunting kids who don't grow up.

Thanks G, apologies for venting my spleen, now off to ruin my lungs a bit more (different kind of fuming).

They might even sell out their allocation now

So what has that cost him? 550 @ £20? £11k. Nice he did it but why the publicity? On his millions it is the same as me buying a big issue, except I don't have shedloads of cash. Bloody show off.

That's some ticket scheme City have got. Their '+550' makes our +2 entitlement look a bit miserly.

Annoys me this reasoning, it's wrong.

Did he go public ? Did the school do it ? One of the parents ? No need to be churlish IMO - great gesture by him.

Not sure he cosseted the publicity, the media picked up on it and there is a bit of a love in with Raheem at the moment, not long after the print/tv media couldn't wait to knock him for anything and everything. He doesn't have to spend his cash but he has and well done to him. Plenty of other footballers couldn't give a toss about anyone other than themselves (Arnoutovic springs to mind). It might be the equivalent of £10 to you and me but how many of us would just give a £10 away to someone!!!!! Anyway I am looking forward to Saturday and out singing that god awful Blue Moon song
