Just bought a £80 ticket somewhere in Wembley ( area 124?). Nice and easy to get to from home in North-West London, ditto Chelsea on Wednesday ( some tickets still going there as well)

Slightly more problematical, the dash down to the Amex ticket office to pick up the ticket for Chelsea, so "WFH" this afternoon....
You can collect from Chelsea

Just prior to the Purchase History sale starting at 11am today, at least 180 further tickets were made available (25 Lower Tier, 155 Upper Tier) as follows:

Lower Tier: Block 125 +2, Block 126 +4, Block 128 +2, Block 131 +2, Block 134 +6, Block 135 +4, Block 137 +2, Block 138 +1, Block 141 +2

Upper Tier: Block 528 +14, Block 529 +11, Block 530 +11, Block 531 +7, Block 532 +3, Block 533 +5, Block 534 +3, Block 535 +7, Block 536 +3, Block 537 +3, Block 538 +12, Block 539 +13, Block 540 +12, Block 541 +10, Block 542 +9, Block 543 +6, Block 544 +9, Block 546 +2, Block 547 +7, Block 548 +9

Some of those additional seats were in quite desirable positions too. Saw a few pairs and threes next to each other just a row or 2 from the front in the upper tiers pop up.

This will stand out a bit on TV if they're not snapped up.

Anyone ever done this? (from any away ground, not just Chelsea!)

Also made a late decision to go to Chelsea but now struggling to get to the Amex this afternoon.

Yes a couple of times and it’s been spot on every time. Just go to relevant ticket office and ticket is normally in an envelope with name on.

This is a common theme amongst such games. Sky happened to be re-running some of the play off games this morning and noticeably the same gaps appeared in an otherwise sold out stadium for Reading v Swansea in 2011.

The FA clearly are worse than the Albion at marketing when they can’t even GIVE them away in time for these games.

It’s their mistake not necessarily Albion’s but the hubris and pomposity shown by the club in pursuit of the membership shekel this late in the day is incredibly annoying.

Is it the same?

The very central seats, on and close to the halfway line, are often sparsely populated for non-BIG games. They are the really posh seats owned by people who pick and choose their games. These are our tickets, although they weren't originally, which adjoin those. So, it could make for an even bigger empty area in full view of the cameras, particularly if Man City had similar seats made available, as their fans seem to be shunning the more expensive seats.

Chelsea v Southampton was 73K last year. If they both sold out 33K allocations then only 7K neutrals...

With 73K through the turnstiles, Wembley can look pretty empty...
