I've been trying to register Jnr. since about 12 o'clock.
After filling out the entire form and hitting register.... Try again later it's not working.
If I hadn't been supporting this club of the town I was born in since the 50's, and having been a STH in the good old days...... words fail me. :tumble:

You'll be shouted down by quite a few on here but I (and others) agree with you, I think the whole process of casual fans bying tickets is too beauracratic.

If we were playing Man U in the Cup then we'd all put up with it and jump through the hoops. But against Oldham for an arse end of the 3rd division fixture (and paying full price to boot)? Na, f*** it; life's too short.

I am in agreement with this. Casual fans by name and nature. If you put hoops up in front of them they will say 'ahh f*** it' and go down the pub instead.

It really is proper rubbish. Do they honestly expect a casual one-in-a-while fan to want to bother registering ? The fact that you can't pay on the gate (yes yes we all know the reasons) means that buying a ticket should be made as painlessly straightforward as humanly possible. The club are competing for peoples spare time at the weekends here, and there is a LOT of other things to do in Brighton than pay top dollar to visit a shit ground and watch junk 3rd division football, AND have to bugger about logging all your details just for the "privilege".

Its madness.

I registered my Dad at the club shop and all they needed was his name, Post Code and house number!?

Didn't seem overly difficult TBH

For once I have to agree with Mr Cuppa, and wonder what sort of grim Friday Easy has had, in order to be so immoderate come home time??

It was to difficult for your Dad to do it himself then.

1. I went to the club shop to get myself a ticket, as I was already on the database

2. I asked for a ticket for my Dad

3. They asked me if he had had a ticket before

4. I answered No

5. They asked me his name, Post Code and house number, and the system found the relevant address

6. They asked me to confirm the first line of his address, which I did

7. These details were then put on the database

8. He took my payment and gave me two tickets and the blonde Gully's Girl's mobile number...

(There is a deliberate untruth hidden in the above. See if you can spot it!?)

Well, I ended up staying an extra hour to cover for someones BIRTHDAY who wanted to leave early. Which is never ideal.

But our ticketing is still shithouse, to be fair. I'm not sure I could be arsed to sort out tickets for the occasional out-of-towner friends/family who might take in a game. Just take the money and print the feckin' TICKET already. Its a third division football match, not a bleeding credit agreement.
