I know that they come in for a lot of stick on this board and in some situations rightly so. Though I wanted to say how impressed I was with them this week. Due to children and the partner working weekends I have not been able to get to many games recently. Thus I did not renew my season ticket this year and have not joined the Blue membership etc.

When I found out that there were tickets for the Man City game going on open sell I thought I would make the effort to go. A call to the ticket office at first confirmed my worse fear that they only had tickets in V block.

When I told him that I only wanted 1 ticket though, the man said that they had seats in the South Stand for single tickets. I was then given a few options. 2 minutes later card details taken and a seat in F block.

The ticket arrived the next day.

A job well done

I'd like to thank the much-maligned T.O. folk for: (a) Always being helpful & pleasant to me when I go in for my tickets, & (b) Supplying me with my City ticket without any hassle, and giving me the very seat I always sit in in Block H! Nice 1 folks!

Don't know why it is impressive. That's what they are supposed to do aren't they ?

1.) Answer phone
2.) Sell ticket
3.) Post out

It ain't rocket science is it !

I was one of the people who's Season Ticket did not arrive for the first match of the season and I must admit I was pretty annoyed not knowing where I stood less than 24 hours to the game.

I eventually got to speak to someone in the ticket office & arranged to pick up my ST at the gate on the day.

I wrote to Ken Brown just to get an explanation as to what had happened. A few days later I received a call from his secretary (the power of delegation eh?!) and was offered a club shop gift voucher by way of apology.

Being a bit cheeky, I said I wasn't looking for any compensation, but was there any chance of guaranteeing my ticket for the City game. She said that would not be a problem.

The ticket came in the post this morning for no charge.

The people behind the scenes are unsung heroes of the club and I will be writing again to thank her.

good work, you should have tried to blag tickets for the inevitable home tie against chelsea in the next round as well

personally I've never had a problem with the ticket office. I think theres never gonna be a one size fits all solution hence always someone is gonna miss out and complain and moan

I was happy with way the ticket selling worked over the phone.

Got in the que once I selected the right option (maybe this could be a bit clearer)

Was kept updated with what position I was in the que (listening to Fatboy to pass the time).

Sorted out the tickets with minimal hassle.

Tickets arrived next day in the post.

Only minor niggle was that the address on the envelope was written in what could best be described as messy handwriting. The postcode was barely readable. Prehaps the club need to get some sort of auto label printer in place to finish off the otherwise professional phone ticket operation.

Well done ticket office!

Well done ticket office!

One of the points I made in my letter was regarding the automatic telephone system that kept telling me I was number 1 in the queue, estimated time of answering 1 minute, even though I was holding for twenty minutes. I suggested that it ought to be checked.

I was told it had been sorted and your comment seems to verify that!

People have to make a song and dance when the ticket office do something right because it's rare when it does happen!

Never had problems with them until this season, let's just hope they have everything sorted out.

I dont know if thats true, well its not to me personally. Not being a season ticket holder I hav dealt with them a fair bit. Out of probably 50 or 60 times (bad fan) there was on slight cock up when I was meant to pick tickets up at the ground and they were late. Other than that the only gripe I had I think was wait time on the phones for busy games

So 83% of the time they were late giving you your tickets?

From a personal point of view they have been pretty poor this year, will see how it goes when I book the Orient tickets this week.
