:laugh::laugh::laugh:

After repeating themseleves time and time again, I love it when you directly ask questions and the the other poster pulls out the spelling and grammer line!! Especially when they start their post an forget a CAPTIAL letter, and maybe a comma after the word thick?

WHAT A TWAT:facepalm::tosser:

This is why I try to avoid trying to win an argument by highlighting grammar/spelling errors, while doing so, you're bound to make your own.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but the issue isn't (just) about not having enough people to answer the phone. It's about how many computers they have. They could have ten people there to answer the phone, but you'd still have to wait for the other 8 to use the computers in the shop before they can serve you.

The shop is limited by space as to how many computers they can fit in, as I understand it, there will be more space when Falmer opens = more computers = faster service.

Of course queues will not move at a constant speed. Some people will want 2 tickets for yeovil 3 for peterborough, wait, no three for yeovil, 4 for peterborough. No, Sorry, 5 for Peterborough, and 3 for Yeovil. Where else can we sit? Have you got anything more central? Further back? Causing confusion, and the need to start the ordering process again and again.

The next guy wants one ticket to Yeovil, doesn't care where. In and out.
I understand what you are saying, but the way these "off the shelf" systems work, it would be very easy to access the system online through any web linked PC.

Your holidays must be really fun, if you plan everything down to the cabs are town before you leave!!

I'd have no problem queueing on the phone for a few minutes. I have a problem queuing on the phone for an hour though, when you should be able to buy online.

So you think in this day and age, its fine for a member to walk in off the street and buy whatever he wanted in person, but the same member cannot buy an extra ticket online?

Don't think its a concern, that a Palace fan could go online and set up Micky Mouse and DOnald Duck and the rest of the gang as members, and buy extra tickets where ever they wanted , but a member registered for over 10 years, who buys regullary from the club, cannot buy one extra ticket per exisiting ticket online? That's a good modern system is it?

But you could buy extra tickets for them online by using their details to set up an account for them if you wished, or they could have done it themselves, or are they neanderthals who don't know how to use a computer?

And like you said, if these 'so called palace fans' are potentially able to do it, why couldn't you or your friends have done it online?

Your just impatient, and demand everything now, and then moan when reality kicks in and you discover life isn't how you want or invision it.

As someone else said above, couldn't you have just rung back later, or gone back to your friends, explained it was too busy to order by phone and got them to set up an account and buy online?

Or would that much thinking have hurt your head too much?

I have no answer for other methods, but this one, I believe Mr Burns has explained, that he was inviting them to the football, and as such it would be rude of him to expect them to pay for their tickets. They are his guests, so he feels it is his obligation to get the tickets.

Fair enough, so register them, or ever some other friends and family, like I have, on line, or call the ticket office at an appropriate time. Be patient and wait, or call back when it might be quieter.

So because the game is looking likely to sell out, the club should be employing someone extra to answer the phone and sell tickets to fans to save them from waiting, that increases overheads as that would cost extra in wages, would it not? Why do this if you are likely to get the same income from ticket sales as you would do without the extra person employed? what do you use them for in the quite periods, or should the club have a crystal ball and be able to anticipate when there is likely to be extra demand.

But others would have presumedly been in a similar position in the past when it came to ordering extra tickets? did they feel the need to come on here and moan?

Have you written or e-mailed the club about your experience, and asked them whether this could be improved? Maybe you have phoned their main office and told them about your 'ordeal' or did you try using the ask the club facility on here to get your point across? - Don't you think that might be a far more effective way of bringing it to the clubs attention and hopefully getting something done about it to improve it for you and others in the future?

Or didn't you think of that with your busy life, and therefore thought the best way of dealing with it is to stamp your feet and moan to everyone else looking for sympathy and attention.

Anyway I've finished the aeroplane, i'm now colouring in a moo cow
I said before they dont need to emploiy extra staff. That woudl be madness. They need to have an overflow system, whereas other office staff can take calls and orders at times like these. If it happens reguallry enough, then yes, mayeb they do need more staff, as one of them said yesterday, call have increased 3 times since last year with no extra staff.

I did ask the club, but it was in a rant and I asked Bozza to remove it a few hours later, and I when I get round to it, I will ask them again with my professional, not pissed off head on.

You seem to answer point that suit you. I try and answer any points to raise but it doesn't seem to get through.

So... again

He could still have explained it was proving difficult to order them, and he could have simply agreed to pay them back the miney afterwards had they ordered it themselves

And it's beyond you, as a small businessman, to be creative and register them yourself? Or register your dog and cat (or pretend dog and cat)?

It's a pretty easy hoop to jump through and you failed in quite a spectacular way.

And don't you, as a season ticket holder, for high demand games, get an exclusive window of opportunity to purchase seats before the rest of the 'members' are able to? - not the clubs fault you waited until yesterday morning to get the extra tickets, or should they have waited longer and risk not selling out in case a season ticket holder left it late to try to get extra seasts? they are a business after all.

You keep contradicting yourself too, you keep saying Yeovil is seem as a low priority match and wasn't a glamour tie where you'd expect it to be difficult to gain extra seats, than state that the club should be doing extra for this game to help you buy tickets more quickly - so why should the club have anticipated this and hired* / trained* called in* more staff for yesterday morning to keep the queue down? * delete as appropriate.

There were ways of getting extra tickets online but it was your choice not to use them, again thats down to you and not the club.

So why not e-mail the club, write or call the main office and explain your experience, and i expect they would then look at it to see if they were able to change and / or improve it - but thats probably all too calm and logical and productive for someone like you to try, seeing as you seem to be someone who get his kicks from complaining.

No its not Bozza. BUt as I said before don't think its a concern, that Palace fans could go online and set up Micky Mouse and DOnald Duck and the rest of the gang as members, and buy extra tickets where ever they wanted.

If the point of only allowing one ticket per person online is to stop away fans getting them, then as a small business man, I would have thought it would have been impossible to just go and make up names, otherwise whats the point of having the one per ticket rule in place?

If its that easy to make up members, why not just allow existing members the ability to buy what they want online, like they can in the shop??

Okay, so as you haven't answerred the points, I suggest you don't think its a concern the way the current system is set up, that I could register anyone I wanted and buy tickets, but a registered member cant just buy extra. Sort of defeats the object of one ticket per member online doesnt it?

And for the record, in business when you have a department that has random peak busy periods, you have other member of staff trained in other departments to help out in those periods. So for example, instead of one poor bastard answering the phone, and 3 or 4 other members of staff standing around the till chatting, some of them go and help when its needed. When the lines are clear, they go back to their other job. But I already said this a hundred times, you just choice not to listen do you

NO YOU DIDN'T. ITS ONLY ME THAT HAD PROBLEMS 'CAUSE I'm SPECIAL.

Seriosuly though, how many people do this and dont bother calling back.

I've given my tickets to mate who was going to buy tickets, so add my two guests, that 4 tickets the club aren't selling. So theres £100 they aren't going have.

If its a sell out then fine, but as no normal game has ever sold out, and with such a poor system and service (no by the sales staff before everyone jumps up and down), it unlikely any game ever will, how much income has the club lost this year alone by people simplyly given up trying to buy tickets.
