can i have a ticket...I want to go now and I am an uber super douper fan who didnt get his arse in gear

As I stated someone is bound to be selling one a some point. And you are no super douper than others who went to Withdean last year and how many games away or cup at home since.

There are only so many levels of granularity that are practically possible and, let's be honest, the club seem to be struggling to even comply with these themselves with Saints phase 1 opening up nearly a day late, and phase 2 opening up 10 hours early unannounced.

Ultimately, the following levels feel about right...

1. Lots and lots of points - Withdean S/T + Amex S/T + some other games.
2. Lots of points - Amex S/T + some other games
3. Quite a lot of points - Amex S/T
4. Some points - No Amex S/T but bought other games
5. Few/no points - the dregs

...assuming that, as is the case, 'loyalty' really means 'gives cash to the club' but, at each stage, trying to ensure that those who also make an effort to get to away games have priority over those who don't.

PLATINUM - Even more than lots and lots of points caegory - Goldstone S/T, Priestfield S/T, Withdean S/T + Amex S/T + loads of other games .

Bozza has it right in the way it should be dealt with. New season ticket holders who attend regular away games should be ahead of those who do not, as should non STH who attend regular aways/lots of homes.

As for points rolling over to next season I think they should, and have to really, otherwise early season away games would have the potential for maximal binfestery. So you get to keep the previous seasons points but no further back than that. So having a Withdean ST will count for nothing in two years.

They could not give everyone a points bonus who had a season ticket this year for next season as that would mean 17,000 people with the same points. If they did this I suppose they could just roll over away points but it is surely easier to just roll the whole lot over.

How about you get 250 points for being a STH previous season plus whatever you got from games the previous season.

Maybe even less than that, maybe 100. It cant be too high as the club need's season ticket renewals to give the fans a BIG advantage in getting you away tickets, and not be prioritising people who were season ticket holders the previous year.

I agree. I had 1140 loyalty points before Southampton but I got the same priority as someone who has bought a ST and not gone to any games.

The specifics of my mate and the saints game aside, i still think it would be fairer to have more stages then just 1901 - ST holders - 50points.

Why should someone with 100 points hve the same chance as someone with half as many?

They do the same thing with some home games. Selling to thoses "with a purchase history" - again not rewarding thoses with points.

And to say you'd run out of time; counting down from 100points in incriments of 10 per day, to sold out at 50points is 5 days max.

I think you should buy a calculator.....

OK, I am a Withdean ST Old Boy, but I believe that this years points should carry on to next year and the next.

Those with a thousnd points at the start of this season will eventually start overtaking the Withdean STs, who dont go to away games. There are a fair few who do not go to any.
