Really? It's been pretty mental in Fiveways. Thought we'd been struck at one point.

It doesn't though does it? Worst thunder storms I've seen in the UK by far.

Thunder storms can bring flash floods, which can be quite deep. I've driven in a flash flood where the water was up to the wheel arches within a minute, yet 5 minutes later, it will dissipate.
It was quite alarming at the time, as there was nowhere to pull over, so I just crawled through the water at 5mph praying that I didn't stall the car.
