Drove into Brighton from Burgess Hill around 11, absolutely hammering down North of the Downs, traffic only moving at 30-40mph on the A23 with lightning and loud thunder all around. Brilliant

Yes. the low pressure will transfer to our eest, bringing a gentle Northerly airflow.
