Feels like there's a chance tonight - quite muggy.
Papa Lazarou?

The humidity and temperature both rose quite rapidly this afternoon. Feels very thundery.

If the netweather radar is anything to go by, looks like rain will get here (Brighton) within the next 30-40mins, with any luck the lightning will come with it.
It's usually a non event though so I'm not holding out much hope.

Overnight rain my favourite type

I hope WATFORD zero dusted off his lawn feeder.

The heavier rain is currently over to the East of the county.

I'm obviously 20 seconds south of you

And I feeded and weeded it a couple of weeks ago. And then had to water it in

I de-mossed yesterday.

I avoid watering, only because the hose/sprinkler isn’t long enough to reach all our lawn.

I’ve been caught out before with nitrogen granules sitting on the lawn, when the Met’s “certain heavy rain” didn’t materialise.

Looks like the heaviest rain with thunder potential has gone East and West.

Here in Worthing (red dot) might get some light rain, but possibly not much else.

We need new developments over France.

The usual anticlimactic weather warning.
Nothing to see here.

There may be some showers coming our way off France. They currently do contain lightning. We'll see whether they make it across.

They're moving in a NNE direction.

Tomorrow looks more likely than today, if the Twitter hype is to be believed?

We had one hell of a thunder, lightning and rain/hail storm here last night.
Made the house shake as it went directly over us.
