Assuming Bloom finally wakes up and sacks Hyypia please don't let the poor Finn be used as a scapegoat.

Yes he has been poor but the club has been going backwards in almost every way since Gus left.

Player recruitment has been a disaster since Gus with Burke seemingly clueless. How he can hold on to his job now I really don't know. If it's true that Bloom is willing to invest more money in January then he needs to get someone who will do it properly. Burke hasn't shown he is capable of doing this.

Meanwhile Barber runs around telling people we are premier league ready, be bold, one club, one ambition. We have spent thousands on marketing the club but have forgotten that the main product is the team. Other than us stupid die hards people won't come to the AMEX to watch rubbish.

Bloom needs to clear out the corporate nonsense, and start again. Pick a new manager who knows how to chose a player and let them get on with it as worked successfully with Gus.

If he doesn't do this, we won't recruit the best manager, we will compromise on another yes man like Hyypia.

I've never had a problem with Paul barber, but his notes in the programme pissed me right off. If I had the inclination I would type them out, but it was all very conceding and really not very well thought out.

here and there
Barber has ripped the heart and soul out of this club. He's also compromised this board with his threats against those who dissent. I understand that Barber advised at the start of the season that he would be reviewing this board and taking legal action against what he considered defamous statements. Very very poor and a statement of intent from the start.

agree with a lot of this , we need a tried and tested championship manger .....there is one candidate available currently who fits the bill, he would probably demand a decent wage , much more than Sammi no doubt but the rise in wages could be off-set by terminating Burke's position............Barber...?? well , no doubt he has got us championship ready off the pitch but this has had ramifications on it , transfer selections no doubt made with budget in mind have been woeful . No doubt it would cost TB dearly to sack Burke but he needs to grab the bull by the horns , steady the ship and make some difficult decisions the most important one of these will be to admit that he , as the owner of the club ,is not being well served by the people he has entrusted the positions to and this is resulting in a negative (to put it mildly) affect on the performance of the team.Bad times for true fans of the club:bhasign:

You need to include Jones = 4 must go.

Why must he go? What is the real Jones, the one who helped coach a team who finished 6th or the assistant to Hyypia.

Jones has to go. We need to start from scratch with no lingering stench from the shit set up currently in place.

Tony Bloom needs to perform a football exorcism and he needs to do it immediately. And then he needs to get his mind focused on the football club which he doesn't appear to have been doing of late.

This club has state of the art facilities at every level but the team hasn't looked this poorly coached since Jimmy Case's final weeks. Stockdale-what has Sami's mate done to what was once a fairly good keeper?

Damn, I'm pissed off with those in charge right now.

I've said it before. I fully understand the club needs to operate commercially, but the tone isn't customer focussed. It's the message we hear at work. It's business to business and bypassed me as a supporter. I don't hear this rubbish from Tescos.Oddly I've felt at times the visit to the Amex resembles a trade fair rather than the Saturday I love to get away from it all.I fully understand the club need to move on but it has frankly failed to embrace the past. That's all part of the mix. A bit of history, a bit of the future. That's what makes clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool such succesfull brands.Not at the Albion. Forget the past we've "reimagined" it.Odd feeling, but it's honest. It's a personal view and the one the "brand" leaves me feeling.Sorry.If an inexperienced young manager working within a clear corporate structure with defined lines of communication, responsibility and governance floats your boat be my guest.Frankly I like a few beers, a bit of a swear up and 90 mins of football. It's my bloody weekend.

If rumours are true, then the playing budget has gone up every season that Barber has been here. He has also boosted our income from things like improved sponsorship deals which he is here for which has helped to achieve this. How is investing this capital into the team failing to spend on the team? especially when things haven't been going well and they have spent further by bringing in Darren Bent and Elliott Bennett (could easily have said work with what you have got and not brought these 2 in as well as having reduced the playing budget every season since he got here if your playing side comment was true)

The Premier League ready thing was supposedly an internal thing only and never used in communications by the club to fans (except in correspondance to fans asking about it and getting this kind of reply) - why shouldn't they be trying to get the club in the best possible shape for its future?

The corporate nonsense is helping fund this investment in the squad, income directly from the fans can only go so far and i have absolutely no idea why this is even an issue other than we arn't doing too well and people need to find an explanation for it (whether the explanation is true or not) But without it i doubt we would be able to have a Championship squad even with the Amex because football is an expensive business.

BTW - did all our fans leave at Withdean when we struggled and got relegated there? I thought we still hovered around 6k there every season so they can't have all been die hards because we only had around 2k at Gillingham - why, if the main product is crap, did such a high percentage of the extra fans (Withdean JCLs if you like) keep coming back? and why won't a lot of the Amex fans still stay with it, even with relegation should it ever come?

Maybe the club being too open on how they operate is the problem, and ignorance is bliss but it's too late to put the genie back into the bottle but i'd have thought the fans would want the club to be open with the fans, especially given our recent history.

What communications are you referring to, i don't see anything and things like the pre match preview e-mail (if this is a problem) are easily ignored - to me it's a case of people making a mountain out of a molehill about a non issue.

There are adverts in the programmes and have been for decades - should we have been moaning about the over commercialisation of the club when these were relatively new and is that still and issuer now (if it ever was)

We have a lot of regular fans in the more commercially geared up areas of the ground (1901) so they will of course protentially see more commercial aspects as they should be a demographic with more income and more likely to be businesses, etc who may invest (like through buying advertising, or entertaining their business guests with a meal before the match and so on) - what else do you or should you expect?

Paul Barber is doing exactly what he was employed by TB to do, make us a more viable business perhaps TB cannot afford or does not wish to continue throwing millions into the club with little return. I believe the emphasis on our failures this season rest entirely on the shoulders of SH NJ and Paul Burke. The money men should be left out of the discussions as it is on the pitch that we are poor and that is what needs to be put right.

TB won't get much return in league 1 and also if Barber is allowed to continue his work of penny pinching from fans then there won't be very many fans left regardless of division.

Hyppia = failed
Burke = failed
Barber = failing
Jones = failed

Get rid!!

Not true if challenging for promotion the gate would be 27000+ each game.

No way, we'll be down hugely on Season tickets, if February comes and we are still in the bottom 3 we'll lose a few thousand STH's. I'd say down to about 12-14k. Then do you really think we are gonna get 10k+ match by match tickets sold? Maybe we'd hit 25k on 1 game where we had to win to go up but honestly stop peddling the better off going down stuff.
