I wonder how much of it was a case of recognising the game was over as a contest, bournemouth were down to ten men due to an injury, we'd already made our three 'let's save these guys for the next game' substitutions, suggesting neither team would really complain. Just get it over with.

I didn’t notice this on the stream I was watching. How long did Bournemouth play with 10?

I must admit I didnt realise they were down to 10 men as I saw him go off and took no notice and assumed it was for a tactics chat with Howe and whether or not he came back on.

On the other hand, a minute was added on to the first half when there wasn’t a single stoppage.

Stacey (no 17) went off just after Mooy scored........he was obviously injured as had a bit of physio attention just before that (looked like a hamstring problem). One of Potters coaches was very clearly talking to Trossard about it.....and then very shortly afterwards we score, in part due to the space created for Mooy as a second player came across to cover Trossard helping out Stacey.........

I'm not complaining, obviously, but just three minutes? Really?

This is one element of VAR that's almost hacking me off as much as dodgy offsides. I suspect it's just the officials covering their arses for the ludicrous amount of time some decisions are taking. They know that stoppage time boards consistently going up with 7 or 8 minutes on them will very clearly flag up how badly the system is working. The trouble is, for fans in the stadium, it makes the delays even more of an insult because you're getting a lot less football too.
