I posted in a thread yesterday and it has been removed by a moderator. Why has this happened? The thread contained stories of players (mentioning no names) that were out over the weekend.

Are we not allowed to talk on here about players and the things we see them doing outside of the Amex?

That would presumably depend on what you were saying.

I don't know what you said, by the way. Just trying to be helpful

Not sure that repeating the thread word for word would be helpful if threads are being removed due to content.

I did say it was based on players and behaviours out late at night in Brighton over the weekend.

If it was after the game, then what is the problem?

Probably best it was removed TBH.

Regardless of whether or not the incident you saw actually happened - and I have no reason to suspect you're making it up - I'd say it's better for everyone if that kind of stuff isn't plastered all over this website.

Whether we're allowed to talk about it or not, who's interested?

Only the 90 minutes on the pitch concerns me; anything else is a matter for the players and the club. It's their private life, not ours.

what you do in public places is not private life, that is behind closed doors.

That is tosh, just because they are not locked up in doors does not make it anymore their private lives. Like Knotty said all I care about is what they do on the pitch. I have faith in the Gus and the club that should they do anything that will affect their ability to play then it will be dealt with. I would not like my every move discussed on a website so do not see why the players should have theirs.

So what if the activities they get up to off the pitch end up with them in trouble and therefore has an impact on their performance on the pitch or even worse, their availability to actually be on the pitch! Ched Evans, Luke McCormick Lee Hughes etc.

Then that is surely the business of the management team, and not conjecture and hearsay on a message board! Are you implying that NSC becomes Gus' eyes and ears!?

if its the thread I'm thinking of, it definitely needed to be removed as I was embarassed to read what one of the posters wrote...that stuff does not belong on NSC

You misunderstand. I'm not implying that fans should be a network of spies. You implied you were only concerned with what happens on the pitch whereas I'm suggesting that what players do away from the pitch has a bearing on the club, either in a good way or in a negative way. I would suggest that most fans take an interest in the 'whole package' that is supporting a club and not just the 90 minutes on the pitch.

I think I read this one last night - clearly named two players and made scurrilous accusations.

Where have I implied that? There is a big difference between taking a general interest in the club, and gossiping about players nights out on an open forum.

I didn't see the thread and have no desire to....but gossiping about players nights out seems mild compared to some of the stuff on NSC.....however its a bit of a fine line if accusations are made etc and not one I would wish to walk

unless you've seen the thread, I wouldn't comment...if you'd have read it, you would have known it was bang out of order....some lines can't be crossed on here.
