Does any other old codger remember back to 1964 when we signed Bobby Smith from Spurs, a few months after he played his last game for England ? I remember standing outside the old North Road Baths waiting for after school swimming when somebody told me the news. By today's standards it was the equivilant of the Albion signing Alan Shearer - sensational. Those were the days. By the way, we were in Division 4 then !!
