If you hadn't consumed so much beer you wouldn't have needed the "toilet". Lesson 1.

You don't HAVE to consume a pie and a pint at half-time. Try going to the Amex and to watch the football. Lesson 2.

And you probably pissed off a bunch of people who you walked in front of when you decided to leave early.

Utterly absurd Goldstone! It's football so you must have a pie and a pint. Same with the theatre - you must have an little tub of ice cream in the interval, or a box of popcorn when in the cinema. Society would unravel from its very core if we mess with these time eternal traditions. What you're suggesting is tantamount to revolution and will not, and cannot, be tolerated!

Are you on a wind up my friend? because I have only read a couple of your posts in this thread and it seems to me you are enjoying the "Baiting"

Your post above is nothing short of laughable! seems like you enjoy being in control eh?

Nothing wrong with enjoying being in control. I left on 75 minutes because i hadn't heard from my girlfriend. Nothing to worry about in the end. She'd dropped the mobile and couldn't quite reach it.

From my Seagull perch in the East Upper yesterday I thought the North Stand was chocka at the final whistle---this has not always been the case tho. Our six always change seats for cup games and I'm surprised how we always get tickets for the four back rows. Lots of fans feck off if the game is S##t. People definitely leave early in the E/Upper around us-mainly dads/mums with their kids and Oap's. They are probably thankful to get away from us - constantly getting up/abusing the ref/opposition fans etc. Yesterday I just ran out of breath shouting 'who are yer' on the third goal:)

From where we were in the North East corner it looked as though there were loads of empty seats in the North when the players came over to applaud just after the whistle.

He's always on a futile crusade to force everyone to stay until the final whistle, and if they don't, it makes him very very angry.

Control ... He would like to.
Enjoy ... No, more a miserable sod; being a busybody who will never achieve his wish.

Look, we all have different reasons for arriving late/leaving early and it's not for anyone else to dictate otherwise. Whatever the reasons, at least those that came to watch the match made the goddam effort.....and on such a shitty day too (weatherwise). We beat the Nigels 3-0. Stop fecking moaning and rejoice in the thrashing humiliation we dished out!

Yes, some want to get away for whatever reason, work, family, long journeys etc.

I do find it disappointing though that there were so many empty seats, especially in ESU before the end of the game.

IMO the players deserve better.

The problem is the transport, and until it is improved, the 85 Minute fire drill will continue to happen. Shame.

You really are Mr Perfect aren't you!!! So you nibbled on your salad sandwiches and had some tea out of a flask at half-time did you ya boring bell end :******::******: Like I said I pay my money and I do what I like - I didn't leave the game early and I went up 5 mins early at half-time. I was 2 in from the end of a row so I inconvenienced 2 people for all of about 10 seconds while I passed in front of them hardly the crime of the century! Perhaps you want to persuade the Amex to have locking bars on our seats??? ??? You really need to get a life you complete and utter ****!!:tosser:

I do agree with this take on the situation, thousands had left, no question about it especially in the East. The players deserve better at the end of a performance like that.

In the grand scheme of things it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all, it's just a big shame and I also blame the overall transport and travel situation.

I know personally how much longer it can take to get trains and buses, so I understand the issues. But this wasn't a night game, it was a bloody 12pm kick-off. Surely that should have enabled people for once, for this game, to stay.

Some sections of the Brighton support were singing 'We can see you sneaking out' etc on 85 minutes. Only problem was, the Palace fans all stayed until the end, it was Brighton fans leaving in droves.

Yep i reckon that's pretty accurate, i can only assume the upset posters are probably the ones leaving,i really don't care when they leave as long as they get out of my view quickly, however i do feel it is insulting to the players not to applaud them off the pitch.

That's because the East Stand has the most families with kids, who understandably leave a bit earlier. If you look on the YouTube clip the only part of the ground that is noticeably empty is the Family Stand.

Just like the Hudds game. 10 mins before the end the exodus started. Cretins, all of you.

You pay your £30+ quid, you come to the game, we're beating our closest rivals and playing great football, then you decide to miss the last 10 minutes???

Look, if you don't enjoy football, then don't come to the game.

And as for the idiots who went off for beer and pies 5 minutes before half-time .... ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! You must be among the most stupid people on this planet.

Enjoy your boss telling you what to do all day, every day at work do you?
