My sister, her husband and their daughter (all Forest fans) went to the game yesterday, and afterwards gave me their thoughts.

They were robbed. (I think we can all agree with that)

They had a local(ish) beer from Lincolnshire, and Harveys - impressed with both.

I had suggested they tried the pies - all sold before they got to the front of the queue.

Not enough male toilets.

View - good - they were fairly near he back of the away end - all away fans stood throughout the game.

Transport - poor - several fans had driven to the stadium, and had no idea you couldn't park there - these fans were then directed to the park and ride, and allowed on without travel vouchers.

Atmosphere - they thought it was really loud - I actually thought yesterday was the quietest game so far (not surprising considering the performance.

Signage - poor - fans arriving by tran had no idea where theaway fans were meant to go.

Value - at £24.00 they thought it was pretty good.

Stewards - welcoming and polite.

Overall - they were gutted about the result, impressed by the stadium, but thought we needed to sort out the transport issues.

I'm sorry, but two of the key issues there- not knowing there was no parking and not being able to find the away end. That's Darwinian stuff. This information is available anywhere. People who just rely on sat navs alone are the worst. I've never gone to an away match without knowing where the away end is, or how to get there. I already know where im parking at the Ricoh and I've never been there before. The tickets have a picture of the ground on the back and there are signs outside saying "north stand", "west stand", etc. It's not like we've got the jimmy choo stand and the Harveys stand. How hard can it be?

Nice to know it's not just us in WSU who can't get a ******* chicken and ham
pie after 2.15 on match day eh!

Two wrongs don't make a right of course.

i get quite irritated by away fans saying they had "no idea" that they couldn't park at the ground........do some bloody research it really isn't hard

it's available on footballgroundguide.....which i always use when going to an away game, and i believe also on the official site.......so, SO simple and not the clubs fault

as for signage.......again, really not difficult when the stands are called "north, south, east, west".....there ARE signs at the ground AND it says on the back of the ticket

basic stuff

f*** me, can anyone get a pie!!!
Surely the club should have sorted this out by now. The staffing and food kiosks are badly letting the rest of the stadium down(massive queues, lack of stock, piss poor really)..... apart from the 10 minute queues to have a piss

Maybe they have someone in charge in the North Stand. Whoever runs the West Stand kiosk needs to be sacked sharpish. I dreed to think how much the club is going to lose over the season by people either not having anything to buy, or just not bothering to queue up because of the massive queues. In the WSL its like the blind leading the blind. Really needs some little gobby jumped up McDonalds style tosser, ordering everyone about and getting the job done.

I think most people going to away grounds assume that there will be some parking nearby-not everybody does a load of research before heading off to football.

Maybe BHAFC should print something on each ticket informing visiting fans that there is no parking? Wouldn't take much and then there is no excuse.

As annoying as it is (the seemingly endless wait to get served, running out of product, etc.,) it isn't the club's fault. It's down to the catering company.

Yes- there was no veggie pie anywhere in the East Stand at 2.45 and they couldn't even get me a black coffee. Food is lovely but organisation needs work. Felt a bit sorry for the Forest fans but I think they will be OK come May.

you don't need to do a great deal of research though......in fact it'd take about 2 minutes and save you a hell of a lot of time upon your arrival

i think the club do more than enough.......not their fault at all......personally i think its the responsibility of the fan to check how they're getting to the ground, the club provide all the information anyone could need.........if people don't check the information it's not really their fault is it?

Are away supporters allowed to use P&R. If they do, we have the book of travel vouchers. How does an away supporter get on the P&R, do they need to buy tickets in advance?

They don't.

All they do is travel free with the 99.9% of Albion fans who also don't buy the vouchers.

The lack of road signs probably doesn't help. How hard can it be to stick a sign on the A23 just past the pylons saying something along the lines of 'NO PARKING AT FOOTBALL STADIUM, USE PARK AND RIDE'? That way anyone stupid enough not to research it before leaving won't drive all the way to Falmer. Also (and it's been a while since I used the trains so forgive me if this already exists) why not stick a HUGE sign up that say 'FALMER STADIUM TRAINS THIS WAY'
