...that Dunk headed over and Webster hit wide.

I noticed Dunk go straight through a Saints' defender on his run onto goal, and VAR would have looked at that, but was he offside also?

I'm pretty sure Webster was onside and I couldn't see too much wrong with that move, other than his woeful finish.

Regardless, disappointing to not hit the target with either of those and at least work the keeper and/or the VAR ref.

'Working the VAR ref' as a phrase sums up football in 2020 (utter shite).

My nemesis Slabhead Maguire would have definitely headed Dunk's chance on target, quite probably in.

It's gonna be a while before I next say 'Dunk would have got that'.

This is because Slabhead is better at heading the ball than Dunk. Dunk's problem is that he's too similar to Slabhead in terms of strengths and weaknesses, and that any international manager will be looking to avoid the duplication of those weaknesses to minimise the possibility of top-class opposition exploiting them.

Brighton factually.....
Are you saying that the free kicks Bozza wrote about never happened?

I like a good conspiracy theory.

As with every good conspiracy theory take what someone said.....

Let's face it we are woeful at set pieces and have been for some time now.
It is actually embarrassing, everytime we get a corner or free kick, it is wasted and ends up in our own half after about two touches.

And suggest someone said......

Bozza you liar, we never got a free kick, Liar Liar pants on fire.....

Ignore the fact, I was simply suggesting we have been pretty woeful when we do get one....

You run with your theory though, you seem to have a lot time on your hands so off you go...

I have not seen the replay but thought the defender ran at Dunk rather than other way round much as he did later and the ref did nothing. Might be my bias...it was also there smallest player i wondered if it was some ploy to convince ref of no foul play.

Meanwhile at the other end they get a free header and bury it
