Says he’s very happy at Brentford despite being linked with the Brighton vacancy. On his way?

Can’t see it……….we’ve apparently got it all lined up, and that won’t be with Brentford given the relationship between the owners. Currently 20/1 and well down the list (Knutsen top this morning at 3/1).

Sideways move from one small nice PL club to another small nice PL club, can’t see it happening.

Would be a very good appointment, but it won’t happen. Surprised the odds aren’t much higher.

He was certainly singing our praises after Brentford thumped United, so maybe. Would probably take a top six side to tempt him away though. I'd be very happy with him but I like seeing Brentford succeeding so would hope for someone equally as good from elsewhere.

Of course he is.

It’s arrogant of us to think that we could just go in and take Frank.

Anyway, he is not the man for the job.

And he chews gum with his mouth open, apparently. It would drive the Monkey crazy, he hates that sort of thing. Which is why Nathan Jones with his frantic nail biting would also be a no-no.

Agreed that it's arrogant of us to think we should get him - it's on the same level as Villa fans thinking they could get Potter from us, except we don't even have significantly more money to offer.

I would happily take him though if it was possible.

Agreed. Would like him, but our relations with Brentford are strained at best, and he might not see it as much of an upward step.

That’d be a pointless move for him, similar sized clubs, similar chances of staying in the division, no chance of ever winning anything. The only reason he’d consider it is for a lot of extra money, and as we all know managers have much higher principles than that.

Why would he want to come here? He is on to a good thing at Brentford l think, there isn't too much difference between our two clubs when it comes to clout.

I mean Potter moving from the Albion to Chelsea is kind of understandable, but Frank going from Brentford to Brighton? where are the big advantages for him?

And that's even before we start considering this Bloom/Benham feud thing.

Will need a release clause to be straight forward, haven’t seen anything to suggest he has or hasn’t

Well Chelsea weren’t interested in Frank despite doing a similar job. Frank gets us into the top ten different situation for him.

Nothing to say he can't do that for Brentford within a season or two really, they aren't too far behind us ability wise.

I think people are under-estimating our standing as a club now. The stadium, training complex, AITC, recruitment, youth set-up, women's team, general stability, depth of squad are all well advanced of what Brentford have now. 6 seasons in the Prem have earned us proper respect across football.

What Bloom needs to do is match Southampton and pay the manager £6 mill a year rather than the £2 million Potter was reported to be on. If think that is a sustainable wage for our model now we are developing players to sell on for tens of millions of £. That would mean Thomas Frank might think differently.

And yes, things could change if Welbeck gets injured, but I think the change for Brentford would be more profound if they lost Ivan Toney.
