I like the national anthem, much better than any other countries I have heard.

Really?

I can think of several that piss all over ours.

French
German
Russian
Italian
Brazilian (although a little too long)
American

I'm sure there are many many more too.

(what a tense game that was)

Hmmmm really? Just looks like a load of people dressed up like St George's Christmas trees to me. Unfortunately that tournament made football "cool" now every man and his dog has an opinion on the game.

I doubt they'll be many of those face painted buffoons out in SA.

Amazing video's!
Was to young to really appreciate it at the time but its good to see them again.
Can't see an atmosphere ever being generated like that in the new Wembley with all the corps. Suppose we can give it a go in nexgt years play offs! *wink*

I think it was the volume and quality of the fan's singing, before the teams were even on the pitch, that was the point of this thread.

And I'm sure it was also meant to demonstrate what we should concentrate on at Falmer - bringing the NOISE to the pre-match atmosphere.

As fun as it is to chuck around beach balls and balloons, wave flags, dress up etc, we also need to SING and chant (preferably something more imaginative than "AL-BION, AAAL-BIIIOON" etc)...
