KLL has explosive pace particularly from a standing start, but he's hardly direct, preferring to wait for his opponent to catch up with him before beating him, rather than bombing on.

Why on earth does he do that? It's like he has no idea where to run without a defender to use as a guide.

He changed his style DRAMATICALLY to this after breaking his ankle. Must've been something to do with that, either psychological or physical. He never runs flat out anymore.

He used to do the ol' knock it round a player and run the other side over 15-20 yards, Bucka still does it sometimes. Don't think I've seen Kaz do that ONCE since the Hartlepool game.

They play each other Saturday ... best result for us (I think) would be a draw, although I can make an argument for either of them to win! A result either way will be a huge confidence booster/dampner that we might be best avoiding

Nooooo.

Need a massive Derby win, then the v out-of-form Forest will be even more deflated.

Hmmm... I think we're much better playing teams who have a go at us rather than sitting back, and teams with something to play for are more likely to do that.

I'm with Wozza. Those teams that are in the relegation scrap will have to come at us to try and get three points -- rather than do what they did in the first half of the season which is play out for a draw, and being allowed 30/40/50 seconds to take goal-kicks and even throw-ins. This ought to play into our hands, particularly if we have a couple of speedsters flanking Leo who are on-form and direct in their play. I'm thinking of Lingard and Buckley here. KLL has explosive pace particularly from a standing start, but he's hardly direct, preferring to wait for his opponent to catch up with him before beating him, rather than bombing on.
Beyond the fact that we've (now) got just one more away game than home game, I'm of the view that we've got one of the better run-ins. We're capable of winning all our remaining home games, and if we do that and manage just one away victory, I think that will be enough to see us into the play-offs. What we really want to avoid -- which we didn't last season -- is too many draws.

I agree with you both and I made a similar comment on here the other day which I think you agreed with - about this time of the season suiting our style of play. What concerns me about the sides we have to play is their mentality will be completely different to when we played the likes of Middlesbrough/Blackpool/Wolves last year. Towards the end of the season I think that can count for a lot, especially if they have the belief they're going to stay up. I'd still rather have 4 mid-table teams to play - I don't think you can guarantee they'd come here looking for a point, they're just as likely to free the shackles knowing the pressure isn't on. Plus, I can imagine Charlton and Blackpool coming here in a position where a draw would be a good result for them - and we know that doesn't work well for us.

I'd agree that too!! But, given I can't see Forest getting another point away from home all season (Ipswich, QPR, Leeds, B'muff) then maybe a Forest win meaning we're only 4 points behind Derby with a game in hand

On the other hand if we lose to Ipswich then I'm definitely looking for a Derby win
