I have a love hate relationship with cooking roast pork.
I'm either right on the money, or it's pants.

Well not wanting to count my chickens too soon but this weeks effort is beginning to look like a photo from a cook book.

The crackling is bubbling up nicely, I've got the roast potatoes nestled round the joint, and the other veg is roasting up nicely, too.

fingers crossed.

We have our roast at lunchtime now as Junior works from 4 till 10 on a Sunday, chicken wrapped in parma ham and stuffed with mozzarella cheese - very nice as well.

Drive by abusing
I was going to do a toad in the hole but the missus wanted to eat out.
So we went to our local pub (Crown in Littlehampton High St) 2 for £12 carvery. Lovely pork or beef a pile of veg & yorkies followed by home made apple crumble washed down with a pint of cider WINNER! :thumbsup:

Yum, Sunday roast - how did it finish up?

We've rowed the boat well out this week and have opted for fillet steak for a treat! Looking forward to it greatly. Just off out for a swifty and then will be back for chef Zefarelly to prepare! Yum!

If you're roasting a piece of fillet beef then you're either a wannabe 1901 or a heathen.

Just finished shoulder of lamb(cooked since 8a.m this morning at very low heat),didn't need any knifes,meat just flaked onto plate hhmmm!!!

Fillet steak for me too - first time in a while. Was rather nice. Cooked it a minute or two over perfect, but still tender.

Roast pork here too . Looking ok so far but I'm not counting my chickens as there are still 5 beers in the fridge . Well pork is better slow roasted

Well that was a tour de force, when it comes to roast dinners.
Easily top 3 roast pork, and comfortably top 10, EVER!.

Did you hear the crackling?

I ran out of oven space what with roast pots, carrots & parsnips.
So for 45mins I put my meat in with the start of the potatoes, which I don't normally do.
But when I took my meat out and whacked up the heat for the yorkies (I know I know), the roast potatoes ended up being mainly uber crispy but with a meaty gooey bottom.
I'm now stuffed.

(I doubt even Danny could make fun of the paragraph).

Don't really do roasts, little point when cooking for one...tonight I shall be having, palak gosht (Punjabi lamb with spinach) served with rice and chapattis...it is bubbling away nicely on the hop and filling the house with that lovely curry aroma!
