I would expect Gus to be talking to prospective new employers that is assuming that he is in the country and not on holiday somewhere while the investigation goes on. Thinking about it he probably is in the country because to have a full investigation somebody will need to speak to him and having an Ex Policeman as a head of security, or whatever his position is, anything is possible.

No, it SHOULDN'T have been our day as we werent good enough and we didnt win.

It's Palace's day.......until Watford beat them later on.

This. That sense of entitlement really grates.

This could have been our day-

Before we played the semi's i'd have been inclined to agree, however a team that cannot score over 2 legs has no claim to a final.

I personally would hate to be on the losing side today, the trip home and the summer that lays ahead will be painful.

I can see Wembley from my sitting room window. It's lovely and sunny here as well. What a day it would have been. Come on Watford.

Can we change the thread title to "This could have been our day"?

We had no bad luck in any way shape or form, we were just not good enough. New manager, new season, let's have it.

Not to be our day..........we lost over two legs, scored zero goals and them scallywags from Sarf Laandun done a job on us. They deserve it. Do I want them to beat Watford....NO.

We were beaten on our own turf by our greatest rival. It sticks in the throat, but the Nigels beat us fair and square.
Time to move on think about who's going to be our next manager instead.

He was right though.

I do worry about the level of expectation among some fans. Losing Gus is certainly not the kind of progress we were expecting.
