Anyone who thinks that Lynch is shit is seriously in need of a brain transplant. Good enough to play left back for Forest but not good enough for us? Don't make me laugh. Next some idiot will be calling for the return of Mayo!

As all the experts on here say ' he is an awful left back and should never play there he is a centre back.'

In my time watching the Albion since Lynch has been playing for us, he has had some good games at centre back, bad games at centre back, good games at left back and bad games at left back.
But IMHO the majority of games he has played in both positions have been more good than bad.

Agreed. He hardly deserves all the spiteful criticism that he gets on this site.

Adams has pushed Lynch out towards another club, if he does the same with Elphick I will go f***ing mental.

These are two of our best prospects for the future! It shows how much Adams knows his football, when he plays Hawkins at the back instead! :nono:

It should be remembered that Lynch chose not to play in a game for us and put in a transfer request and as such was not forced out by Adams but made the choice himself.

This didn't happen. Still if it fits your agenda.

To be honest, if I were Joel Lynch and Adams had kept me on the bench and played Hawkins instead of me. Then I'd want to leave ASAP as well. Lynch was given the JPT match against Northampton to prove himself. He played a blinder, and what happens? Hawkins is back in the team for the next game. If Elphick goes the same way, Adams will be responsible for destroying some of our best youth prospects for a long time.

Yes, but by that time Lynch was miffed at his treatment by our manager and I can understand how he feels.

Yes, but when Lynch played well against Northampton, he was dropped next game for Hawkins again. If when he plays well he can't keep his place, then from his point of view it is time for him to move on.

He's too good so we're selling him.

Basically.

so if elphick goes, that just leaves Cox from wilkins days, someone said to me during pre-season, watch adams slowly remove wilkins youth players, i thought that person was mad all though months back!

He DOESN'T get spiteful criticism on the site. All the half-thinking sheep that bleat on about how world class he is get the criticism.

He's ok - but too fallible to be deemed a great or even good. It's a bit like leg spinners - they can be great for five balls an over, but if the sixth ball is a boundary ball every over (Ian Salisbury and Andy Clarke for example) they will never make it. Lynch is the same. Too many ritical errors and no consistency.

If we get wedge from Forest for him then great.

interesting.

Leg spinners are known to be expensive as you say, however taking Shane Warne and Mushy into account, you put up with the occasional ball dissapearing into the river knowing that they will get wickets( in warne's case nearly every ball)

Lynch was a very good but raw youngster. He has been replaced with a journeyman in Hawkins who is in the twilight of his career....personally I think if Elphic goes too, then it says more about the ambition of our management that anything.

If we sell elphick to bring in a few old standards(which always was Mickey's way), then you will see far more empty seats as this season goes on.

A team should be built around Elphick. Not perfect by any means, but he is promising and is a natural born leader. I remember his first few games and he was telling the crowd to make some noise. That was from a young guy with a handful of games under his belt.

If someone like CKR had had his sort of desire and passion to do his job to his potential, then we would have received a great deal of money for him and probably stayed up.
