Most of the teachers were OK but didn't like Mr Rickett, Mr Coupes or Miss Ratner.

Was Miss Ratner a big fat Jewish bird in her fifties or sixties who taught music ? We had a music teacher at Varndean in the 1970's with the same name.

Thoses names , it's all coming back . I remember all bar 2 of them .
They taught me in the early/mid 70's when the school was
called The Nevill . Cordrouy & Rawson ran the show then .
I'm quite shocked that they were all still there in the late 80's .
And , you're right , Roy ( Kynaston ) was a top bloke .
