Didn't see much of him but he showed glimpses, should've buried a one on one but tried to be cocky and take it round the keeper which didn't work.

he was a bit of an idiot for not shooting when clean through, he tried to knick past the keeper and dive for a penno. he looked very stupid.

i have never seen a more ridiculous one-on-one miss than his last night

bearing down on the keeper, at least have a shot. but no, he tries to dribble around him the WRONG way, his touch is so heavy that all he succeeds in doing is effectively passing it off the pitch and when he realises that he has cocked it up he produces the most over-the-top dive that didn't get a yellow card simply because it was so comical

It wasn't a good start.

But you can't expect brilliance right from the start, he needs games to get himself fit and sharp. The one on one was awful, which was a shame because it would capped the night to have had a goal scored in front of us.
