What exactly are all the changes? What are the improvements? Obviously it looks slightly different but is that all?

The calendar is a bit basic.

What Calendar?

Has anyone tried the quick reply yet? Whats that about?

calander is at the top by members list etc.

the quick reply is a button next to quote and multi quote, basically opens the reply box at the bottom of the page rather than clicking post reply, have to type in smilie codes tho rather than the old style box which was next to the post reply

I like it and think it's a great improvement. Bound to be a few teething problems, so just got to bear with it for a while.

If they got rid of the Mushy pictures the smilies might even fit.

Two million posts reset to NUL?

Blimey, not so much Groundhog Day as Ground Zero.

Oh, and the smileys have gone haywire, else I'd be using the Roger Moore Perturbed Raised Eyebrow one at this point

Only problem for me is the wasted space to the right of the avatar.

There is now far too much "white space" between posts and you lose the sense of quick replies.

I've noticed it on other forums - to keep the sense of dialogue going its good to have posts as near together as possible.

It's bloody MILES down to the 'Submit Reply' button.

Mainly due to the Mushy smileys, which are in fact near-life-size photos - they need removing. Not that Mushy is not a thoroughly nice bloke or anything :halo:

(oh, and the :halo: smiley is f***ed BTW)

Actually, I've decided I don't like it at all.

Not because it's "new" - I just don't like this forum style.

Sorry...

Same here. It's unnecessarily 'clunky'. There was nothing at all wrong with the old format. If this new format means NSC won't crash every time there's a bit of significant Albion news, then maybe it's worth it. But if it's just change for change's sake, then it's about as user-friendly as the 2012 Olympic logo i.e. pretty HATEFUL

One thing I've noticed is that it seems to incorporate this new AJAX technology.

Basically - only the bits of the page that need updating are updated rather than the browser having to refresh the whole page. Note quick edit.

Anyway - I liked the stripped down feel of the old board.

I sure these things can be ironed out - and the end of the day, of course it's easier for those who look after it to running a more established software version.

Just a few design issues that I don't like. Far too busy,
