He wants to know who to get on his top
My word it sounds like this guy has absolutely NO CLUE about MK Dons. Hell, I can even name one of their players and I don't support them.

The local fanbase still has to establish itself. Most of the new recruits are former plastics who have discovered what "real" football is.

I wish we could attract those kinds of fans, attracted to the Albion as we rise up league after league.....

I think there are still a few Wimbledon fans who travel to MK , 97% of their support is local , much better than being a plastic whose only in depth knowledge is from what they read in the national newspapers or see on Sky.

Why's it funny? People have different levels of dedication to football clubs & football in general. I bet you a significant amount of our fans at Millenium stadium on that day couldn't tell you whether Chris Iwelumo was the big one or the little one, but those people came and supported the club and that's what matters.

I doubt many (or any?) of their fans were Wimbledon fans anyway, so were did they all come from? I would guess a majority are local people and there is NOTHING with wrong with supporting your local club. Others may have never supported a club at all, or only have limited interest in the sport and I think it is better for football for them to support a league team rather than a Premiership team.

Of course what happened with Wimbledon was a travesty, but with AFC Wimbledon rising up the leagues it really is all now just history - and whichever club you support and your reasons and levels of dedication doesn't make you any worse than any other football fan.

I agree with a lot of what you've said.

Every club has their hard core contingent, as well as the casual fan. Whatever you think of football, in reality it's nothing more than a means of entertainment. If you don't enjoy it, don't go. If you do enjoy it, that's reason enough to follow your team week after week.
