Note the state of the pitch. Pretty good for late March in those years. In fact very, very good. Albion always had one of the best tables. Them and Ipswich. But they were sponsored by Fisons though.

I was there. Not sure why but it was one of very few games I was in the chicken run. At end of game I got a slap from a copper as I tried to run on the pitch.
