This is probably the worst place to post this...But NSC I need your help.

So tonight I broke up with my girlfriend of eleven months, it's fair to say I'm devastated to say the least.

The thing is I am at University and want to have the full Uni lifestyle that I feel I know I have been missing out on.

Just gutted really and needed to write how I feel.

Any advice on how to get over your first true love would be appreciated.

Seagulls.

You need to set a corner of your student accommodation aside and put some pictures of her with candles and stuff,if you have any personal items clothes, lock of hair these could also be kept, letters are good also.
Always rejoice in the times you hand together and be proud to talk to friends and new girlfriends about her, show them your shrine and they will respond to your power of true love. Most of all never forget what you have given up and never let anyone else forget.
good luck:moo:

I'm sure these wet blankets are starting these threads to wind me up. What is it these days with these soppy c**ts; can't you see just how f***ing emabarrassing you are?
This bint has obviously realized what a melt you are, now it's time you did; especially posting on here!

Thanks for some hilarious comments, even the harsh ones made me laugh, that's why I love NSC!! Becuase I feel I have never lived the Uni lifestlye, some people may not see it, but I still do love her, I'm just not in the right place for a relationship.

Breaking up with women is all part of a learning experience. I can't quite work out from your OP if you dumped her, or if she dumped you. Either way, learning to finish a relationship (or deal with being dumped) is an important lesson in preventing yourself from getting stuck in an unfulfilling and dull relationship.

If you had continued seeing her, then you'll have ended up regretting not living the full Uni Life experience. Also, for what it's worth, my experience of freshers' week was that many birds still have boyfriends back home and it wasn't the shag fest I'd been promised. However, don't be disheartened as this all changed about 4-6 weeks into the first term when they realised what they were missing out on, and most long distance relationships were finished by the end of October.

Have you tried stalking her ? You might have to prove yourself to her.

This is pretty much true. My relationship lasted into the second year but I forgot all about it during term time and just picked it up again in the holidays. I think she was pleasantly relieved when we finally split up as it allowed her to openly date the guy or guys she had been seeing "secretly" while I was away.

Thanks for that, by the way I don't mind about your post but your variation of that word is now against the rules , so you might want to change it. :)

Can't say anything different to what's already been said, just go out, get mortal and stick it in anything that has two legs.

I've started seeing a girl who goes to Uni in Manchester. Met around last Christmas time from visiting mates up there, then had a little thing over the summer and both decided to give it a go this year even with us on opposite sides of the country! She is in her 2nd year now though, so hopefully the "1st year/Halls/freshers/get f***ed" every night isn't so appealing! Can't wait to pop up to see her next month!

So basically, you love her but you're fed up at only having sex with one person while you're at uni

Shag her friends, that will DEFINETLY make things better, failing that grow a penis,
March straight down to campus and windmill the shit out of yourself, a known uni method of attracting a mate

Sorry to bring a dose of realism to your life, but I wouldn't bank on that. Many girls become more liberated the longer they're at Uni.
