'deed I did witness them at The Dome, and Sussex Uni about 9 months before that (they were unbelievable!).

There are loads of concerts that we all as NSCers of a certain age have seen together, but not together if you get my drift

Do you remember how powerful and brilliant a guitarist Bill Nelson was at SU?
I was amazed to hear a hollow-body sound that great, with loads of sustain and emotion belting out of the speakers.

Alvin Lee played a mean hollowbody too, saw TYA at Alexander Palace around '74 and they were amazing.

I don't know if it's pompous to think that we have lived in the best musical time ever to live. Hopefully ongoing

Jan Akkerman is an amazing guitarist. My dad had the pleasure of playing with him once and apparently he is a top bloke as well as a guitar legend

Akkerman is one of the best guitar players I think I've seen, quite amazing. He was classically trained too.

Yeah apparently my old man's band were touring Germany and Jan Akkerman came to see them play and asked if he could join them onstage for a number. My dad bangs on about it every chance he gets.
