Bell making Warner's innings seem like Tavare. Is he going for the fastest 50 in Ashes history?

:lolol: Clarke

Thanks mate, put your team in when winning the toss, bowled out for 136. Score 10 then 3 when batting. Don't bowl your best bowler, the man all of the Englishmen have a complex about when they are chasing 120. Then drop a dolly off the man who will win England this test if you do not get him the next 5 overs.

Nice one, before this series everyone thought Clarke was a better captain than Cook ???

Weird that Clarke only brings Johnson on when England are already 39% of the way there.

I wonder whether Clarke dropped Bell because his focus was on the three boundaries already hit in the over and the fact he'd cocked up by not starting Johnson straight after lunch?

When you have these low scores (130ish) to get, sometimes this is the best way.... to go for it. It throws the bowling side off and all their plans to build pressure go out of the window. C'mon England

It would be ironic if Bell - a man dumped out of England's one-day team because he scores too slowly - then went on to score the fastest Ashes fifty. Perhaps he'll be more circumspect against Johnson?

It's OUT... 51-2, Lyth 12 from 27 balls, 3 fours.

70 still needed :)

Lyth averages 12 in the series.. 72 runs in 6 innings (6, 37, 0, 7, 10, 12). He will remain under pressure, but perhaps England won't want to change a winning team (other than the injury-forced Anderson change).

Terrible review that. The guy at the other end needs to take more responsibility for these. That was as plum as you can get.

Lyth has looked seriously average so far for our opener...

Can you keep picking an opening bat just because he's good in the slips?
