Moeen perishes slashing at a wide one... caught at third man.

A fantastic innings of 59 from 78 balls, 11 fours :clap2:

Pushed the England lead on to an invaluable 142.

278-9

Eight more runs needed for a 150 lead, but only one wicket left. That would have been the aim at the start of the England innings.

Jimmy comes in for a birthday knock... and starts with a three :clap2:

Can the Burnley Lara and the Watford Wall add a few for the final wicket??

Got to feel like 150 is quite a big lead on this pitch, that's quite a mental barrier for the Aussies coming out to bat already with a 150 deficit.

England 281 all out.

Leading by 145 on first innings.

Jimmy will have to let the ball do the talking, after nicking one though to Nevill from Starc.

This game keeps on giving... just a large enough lead to keep both sides in it!

Aussies need 300 minimum, 345+ and the game's afoot, anything over 370 and they're favourites.

Which isn't exactly difficult.
I have a good feeling that Jimmy, Broad and Finn may beg to differ!

Would put a bet on it if I could. Best I could find on betfair was 2.9 for the game to end by tomorrow night.

Never thought that was coming handy lead on this pitch.
I'm not sure the pitch is that bad. 1 wicket was a freak to short leg, 1 wasn't even out, and a couple were excellent bouncers from Johnson, with most of the others giving their wicket away.
