Championship is just one league where possibly one of 20 teams could win it at the start of the season, EPL is two different leagues

My passing interest in the PL used to be hoping at least one 'big' club would get humiliated by a smaller club each week.

Now I find myself in the position of wanting the 'big' clubs to stuff everybody bar us by as many goals to nil as possible each week. That takes some getting used to.

The possibility of actually winning something at the end of the season, as opposed to setting the expectation level at "being not as shit as three other clubs"

Exactly this. Hopefully, in a couple of seasons, we can aspire to an expectation of mid-table mediocrity.

Miss the evening kickoffs as well.

Looking forward though to the Stoke and Palace weekday games.

Tell you what I don't miss - that "we're on our way" song. I think I had it stuck as an earworm from Christmas until May.

Was sung at West Ham wasn’t it?

The midweek games, with out a doubt.

Evening matches have always been my favourite.
The championship is absolutely rammed with Tuesday night fixtures.

Looking forward to Stoke and Palace.
