I have learned never to 'diss' the moderators. So many bans in the past. Nearly 6 years now since I had the pleasure of being on the 'naughty step'.

I have learned that all the Moderators are actually very good people , with only one exception......El Presidente who, apart from his excellent memory, is extra good and tolerant !

No I don't - and you know it! It's being called old (element of truth in that I suppose), thick, fascist, right wing and racist. And you know that too.

Now if you want to be the muppet who gets this tread shifted to the Bear Pit, go ahead, carry on along the same lines. I'm out of this (for the same reason - posts like you've just posted - that I'm out of the Brexit and other Bear Pit threads).

So, just to clarify.

In arguing against name-calling and random insulting language you weren't criticising a Brexit-supporter for misreading a post and calling a Remainer a lying bullshitter, but you were criticising a Remain supporter for apparently calling a Brexiter an old right winger.

M'mmm... I make a habit of not insulting people I disagree with but your logic seems a bit hypocritical. Actually, it seems thoroughly sanctimonious.

I was merely commenting on my own experience of the abuse I received for being in favour of Brexit. So - what I have learnt from being on NSC is that if you state that your preference is for Brexit, you will get the dog's abuse that I described - and personally experienced. That's a fact.

I make no comment about what other people may have learned. This thread isn't about other people's experience, it merely asks people to say what they have learned, which is what I posted.

Yeah would have been just prior to College Dropout if memory serves and you namechecked him here for some reason. Can't remember the context or anything but it was a good tip!

Agree. I’m sure our resident pervert, El Pres, saved me a few times from a ban when I was replying to the vile racists and their tag along little brothers. Glad they’ve been kicked out and the little brothers have no one to follow.

It's disrespectful to reply to a poster without punctuating or proof reading your post.

I have unblocked you, btw, because people tell me you're a lovely bloke. I look forward to your collegiate whimsy.

It has taught me that many posters and football fans in general still don’t get the whole of the ball over the whole of the line rule - from a vertical angle.

A well-crafted reply and I've no wish to lock horns with you, but be honest - you introduced Brexit in order to make a partisan point. Nothing wrong with that but if you 'learnt from being on NSC' that Brexiteers sometimes get abuse then you would certainly have 'learnt at the same time' that Brexiteers know how to dish it out with knobs on. An pertinent example of that from earlier this year: you expressed your fury at the tasty insults in a post of mine, not appreciating that I was simply drawing attention to some of the words used against Remainers by a leading Brexiteer by quoting them.

One of the things I've learnt from NSC is that both sides in that debate trade insults. I've also learnt that they don't have to. On that I hope we can agree.

It's a slow builder, but still possibly my favourite ever thread.
Simster 's gag still gets me chuckling but, as MoH correctly points out, the point at which I lose it, every time, even just now, is:

"The Englishman says: "Just wash your hands after you've finished jacking off that greyhound please. We're hungry.""

Kudos Trufflehound

The Palace **** posting the Tommy Cooper gag at the end to absolutely no reaction at all is a nice cameo.

...that inexplicably there are some people who back Boris Johnson in spite of his lying, philandering, hypocritical, mendacious behaviour......

That inexplicably there are so many lefties on the political threads who never lie, never have anything on the side, never do anything that could be lablled as hypocritical, and always tell the truth . .

That the BBC, ITV and SKY can throw all the money and presenting talent they like at Election Night coverage, but if you aren't following it all right through the night on NSC at the same time it's a pretty pointless endeavour.
