mmmmm... CISK.... went to Malta in my 2nd year at uni for a "fieldtrip" had a ball. The beer is good, the people are nice. The shopping is shite. Go north to a place called Melia, best beaches on the Island.

Also take a look at the famous Cart Ruts at a place they call Clapham junction. If you're there for two weeks it'll be something to do, they're quite interesting and no one knows where the bloody hell they came from or who made them!

Wife and I have been to Malta a few times and loved it son father in law went and hated it and said if he could he would have stayed on the coach back to the airport.

This seems the general opinion you either love it or hate it no in between. The biggest pain was the time share reps pestering you, which stopped us going and we went toCyprus instead but that has now got very expensive to eat and drink, since joining EU, so have moved on to the Algarve.
