[Travel] Things to do in Liverpool between 6am and 11am on a friday morning?!

Shankley Hotel  It's changed a bit since I worked in the same building before it was a hotel

There won't be much open at 6.30 on a bank holiday if you are arriving tomorrow, but you could always watch the vagrants arrive in time for the rush hour and shopping crowds.

Albert Dock is vastly overrated but the Central Library, museums and art galleries are good. Just have a wander round and watch the city wake up

This is one of Liverpool's lesser known attractions - well worth a quick look:

- it's free and runs 24 hours. I imagine the Cathedrals will open fairly early, and both are well worth a look (and not too far apart). The Catholic one is by the University, and over the other side of the campus are some nice little cafes - again, no idea how early they open, I'm afraid.

Failing that, there's always breakfast in Weatherspoons - though depending on the weather, you might want to be careful what you eat and drink before embarking on the Isle of Man ferry!
