Terrified as a child, not so keen on now but will approach and slaughter on sight.......... Daddy Long Legs! It's the way the buggers flit

Your team's chief exec trying to assure you that the last transfer window was a success, despite the lack of goal-scoring talent up front.

Mrs T is the same.

I'm not frightened of anything but I'm repulsed by slugs, other people's vomit, and racists.

LA...wishing it was devon..
as a child... walking on any pier that had wooden slats which appeared to have a gap big enough to fall through... as you saw the evil water waiting for you .... in reality, obv not huge gaps and ok with them now.
putting on the light to check to see what bloody spiders had taken up residence near my bed ready to lay their eggs in my ears as i slept
lightning....

Snakes don’t bother me, in fact I rather like them
Neither do spiders (since attending the Friendly Spider program at London Zoo)
But put me in a butterfly house and I run out shrieking with terror:rolleyes::facepalm::laugh:

For me to get to sleep, all doors and windows in the room have to be fully shut, no exceptions.

I can’t sleep if the bedroom door is closed.
I have to be able to hear if someone was to break in!

As a small child I was frightened by Sooty on the TV - used to hide behind the settee.

It was probably the mindless violence.

I’d rather be in a room with a bear than a wasp.

Hate wasps, completely irrational as let’s face it, how often do they sting people? Maybe once every few years and considering how prevalent the buggers are in summer.

I was at a campsite recently and there was this proper big lump of a bloke, dancing around, arms flailing, look of terror on his face. People looking over.

Woman nearby said to me, ‘ha ha how ridiculous, it’s only a wasp!’. I thought to myself, ‘I feel for you brother’,,,,
I am the guy that runs around in circles!

Back in 1955 Eartha Kitt had a hit song called 'The Day That The Circus Left Town', my parents bought this when I was about 3 and It used to make me cry with fear every time it was played. Cue much amusement for my older brothers playing it every day just to see me cry, the ar**holes! I looked it up on YouTube a couple of years ago and it still gives me the creeps nearly 60 years later (I manage not to cry now), gives me visions of killer clowns!

Descending wet or icy steps. The platform footbridge at our local railway station in particular, it's really steep and the steps are lethal if wet or icy. I have to clutch the handrail like my life depends on it!!
