the smell of pipe tobacco does it for me, there were 2 blokes in the north stand that looked identical, and they seemed to have a pipe on the go for the entire match. EVERY match

ditto, I've posted on this before but when my old man first took me back in the early to mid seventies the smell of pipe tobacco in the West Stand was prevalent and to this day reminds me of Barry Bridges, Ken Beamish et al....
