things that didnt get done over Easter..

i had planned to start/finish some jobs that i had been putting for for a while.. 4 days off seemed perfect time to0-

fix a leaky tap, clean out the gutters, make up a new bed frame, throw out packing from said bed frame, and rest of junk accumulated over ?? years, sand the kitchen flooe, lay new lino, then repaint the kitchen and hallway ceilings, find the mising / buy a new tv remote as the old one was falling apart anyway, go for a bike ride, get my haircut, and maybe then, as a treat, watch rambo3 with a box of chocs.

but it was cold, raining, and i just couldnt be arrsed.

I know the feeling, I meant to get a few things done but haven't done any of them! Although, it my defence a couple of the jobs were outside and the weather hasn't really helped.

I was supposed to be cutting the grass yesterday on my day off - a bit difficult with 3 inches of snow falling in the early hours of Sunday morning , will have to wait now until drier conditions. More flurries today but it didn't lay and now the ground is soft.

Buy yourself some electric clippers and DIY - for best results dont use the plastic guard as it turns out neater (and shorter) than doing it with a number 1 guard. Not advisable if you have a spotty head as you will slice all the zits off.

We decorated two rooms (music room and study) which involved, going to B&Q twice, Ikea 3 times and a heck of a lot of painting, cleaning, and chucking stuff out that we've collected over the years and putting pictures / band posters in frames that we meant to do years ago - did you all know the tip was open on Easter Sunday!!

if you like a rough time for just £7.. go to mr toppers at clock tower- cheap and cheerful haircut, the woman was a bit heavy handed but concerned i wanted too much off the top(!).. ended up being the same length(shortness?) as i usually have done elsewhere..

Snap, didn't cut the grass due to the lousy weather but did it this morning in glorious sunshine, spent a fair part of the afternoon attacking a triffid like plant that was threatening to overrun the place.
