The way that she answers and puts Corbyn in his place during debates in the house is reminiscent of Maggie in her prime,

I don't, and never will, have a problem with a strong leader, I think she is likely to be one. I do have a problem with sucking up to psychotic, narcissistic, racist leaders.

lol she's the worst Tory performer at PMQs ever - at least Cameron's Flashman act made him effective, she's just an awkward vicars daughter struggling with the same lines.

And now she's painted herself as Trump's best mate and wants to open up our NHS to his US private contractors - this is the beginning of the end for her which will come even quicker than it did for Cameron and Osborne

Yes. Got a bit muddled in my post (it is late!) - but do interventions work? They haven't so far in Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc, etc, etc................

Depends on the intervention, Iraq, Libya, Syria, etc., etc., has been by force and it hasn't worked.

I have always been of the mind that our citizens need a tough leader, Churchill, Thatcher, even Blair. I think May is in that mould. We won't always agree with her no, but we need that person that puts their foot down and means no (or yes) when they say it. Personally I think Blair was a good PM other than his ill founded reasons for Iraq, or sucking up to Bush. He also did a hell of a lot of good for our country. But in general he wasn't the worst PM ever (I am Tory, mind you, so was he). Strong leadership in this country is good across the world. But sucking up to a psychotic maniac could be a bad move.

Yeh, I know. I then added a bit that was late night twaddle, and then deleted the lot to save embarrassment! The bit you quoted was fine, though.

However unless a deliberate error you have embrassed yourself on the dates for independence day by gettting the month wrong for when the referendum was held

I forgot to add that LI's insane ramblings are also irrelevant!

Where have all the Corbyn supporters gone. He was certainly championed on here, he was mustard, very silent now though.

Spot on. She doesn't impress me at all - she is merely playing to the gallery. There is nothing clever in failing to stand up for your principles.

To be fair, that's a poor example of him rambling insanely. Only his last sentence can be considered insane - it is very much far from the beginning of the end for her. Sadly.

Brighton and Hove is a hot bed of lefties and greens however the Town is still trying to catch up hasn't it only just recently started a green bin service the previous one was private enterprise. Recycling rates need to improve etc.
Is it so left wing because Brighton is a big University town and it has a hi number of students stay when they finish studying.
Lots of Brighton born residents move out the town East and West and now coming over the Downs to beautiful and green Mid Sussex.:hilton::whistle::facepalm:

Just throwing it out there but there's probably a very good reason why we're sucking up to Trump. With a hard Brexit looming - he may be the best hope we have of avoiding national financial ruin. Maybe - just maybe - May knows he's a detestable bloke but it putting the interest of her country ahead of her politics? That seems like a fairly reasonable position to me. Pride comes before the fall and all that,

We also sell weapons to the Saudis and all manner of dodgy nations - but that's okay? Not hearing much about that lately?

As much as I disliked Thatcher, May neither has her presence or conviction. Thatcher knew what she wanted, May is a fish out of water.

'We won't always agree with her'

Perhaps she would be best off trying to agree with herself on a few things first.
