He was telling people we had diesel, unleaded due tomorrow.
There is no deisel in Faversham. A bit in my car but not enough to get me to the Arse game next week
That'll learn me for not buying electric.

Try contact some farmers. Some are apparently selling their red deisel....There is no deisel in Faversham. A bit in my car but not enough to get me to the Arse game next week

Not a dig at you but a comment on your post from my own perspective.
I've been WFH since the end of March 2020 with the occasional day in (~1 visit not even a full day every 2 weeks or so) and I estimate I'm 30 to 50% more efficient how is an admin-only function not the same or potentially more efficient?
Organisations have had more than enough time to get home workers up to speed with equipment or training etc.

Haven't seen this. Where was it reported it was only 5 that were closed? BP and Esso both said it was only a handful but wouldn't say how many that was. Presumably you've seen it somewhere?
Both Biscuit Barrel and Giraffe quoted figures earlier on in this thread (not the same figures) and I asked where this information was from but got no response
I was under the same impression as you, that BP and Esso wouldn't release figures (or certainly hadn't by Friday)
There was a smallish queue at Sainsburys Portslade earlier around the roundabout so would assume they had some
Bbc radio five on Thursday said five

Fair enough if that's what they heard on Thursday but not sure where the BBC got that info as nothing now confirms that figure, just a reference to 'a handful'. Not sure the BBC are even reporting that now.
BREAKING:
an estimated 50-85% of UK petrol stations (outside of the motorway network) have run out of fuel after Britons engaged in panic buying over the weekend
That’s quite a gap between the numbers.
Even if it’s the 50 percent, it shows what utter idiots live in the UK.
Maybe BB missed your question …he has quoted his source immediately above your post.
If you are correct (and I don’t know if you are as I don’t remember the numbers quoted, if indeed there were any) then why are you defending a piece of journalism that lacked research for basic facts ?

It was conceived years ago during the planning for a no-deal Brexit, and would see hundreds of soldiers drafted in to drive a reserve fleet of 80 tankers. It is understood it would take up to three weeks to fully implement, because some of those mobilised may already be on other deployments and others could be reservists. Escalin was touted as an option last week, but government sources downplayed the chance of its activation.I have to get fuel tomorrow, wish me luck [emoji38]
The queue for Texaco in Telscombe Cliffs today was insane. Less than 12 hours and they are out of fuel again. I really hope we see an end to this madness very soon.
