Wickerd...

All seven original members of the Justice League -- Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter -- are featured in an origins story about the superhero conglomerate. The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battles between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman.

# Superman - A.K.A. Clark Kent, news reporter. The morally upstanding Man of Steel battles Batman and has more to worry about than kryptonite.

# Wonder Woman - A.K.A. Diana of Amazonian princess. Revered by the other supers for her beauty and ass-kicking abilities.

# The Martian Manhunter - A.K.A. J'onn J'onzz, detective. His power to read minds comes in handy as the villain engages in some nifty mind control.

# Green Lantern - A.K.A. John Stewart, architect. Designed the Hall of Justice. His emerald power ring shoots beams of energy.

# Batman - A.K.A. Bruce Wayne. The most human in the bunch is mistrustful of others, which leads to quite a few problems for the clan.

# Flash - A.K.A. Barry Allen, cop. The most enthusiastic superhero, Flash is happy just to be included, but his ravenous appetite leads to trouble.

# Aquaman - A.K.A. Arthur, the Atlantean King. Not a fan of humans, Aquaman is more interested in helping his fellow heroes than lending a hand to land dwellers.

So who will play Batman and Superman then? The current cape wearers or someone new?

The other roles are up for grabs of course.

There is still lots of mystery surrounding this movie. Some say it'll be motion capture, others say it'll have a 300-style computer assisted feel to it.

Both Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Christian Bale (Batman Begins) have said they will not appear.

Presumably because it's animated, and also because they are still contracted to their current franchise ?

Hither (sometimes Thither)
The reformation of the Justice League, which incorporated both post-post-modernism, nuclear family dysfunction and extreme sarcasm, was quite enjoyable for a comic-fan like me in my late middle-teens.
From what i remember it was a sort of team randomly piled together for show, or to compete with the X-Men and Fantastic Four, so there is no real background to them, other than the mildest UN reference. When reformed it was this jumble of self-inclined monopolists at war with each other rather than those who brought grenades of evil to the world, which is why it perhaps became likeable for the first time.

it's not going to be anmated!! yay!

ObsessedWithFilm.com reports that WETA will be creating the costumes for the up-coming "Justice League" movie, and may be also working on visual effects for the film.

They also report that another Oscar winner has joined George Miller's crew, with Director of Photography Dean Semler.

Art direction comes from Hugh Bateup and Damien Drew, both veterans of The Matrix franchise and Superman Returns.

P.J. Voeten, who has worked with Miller on Happy Feet and Babe will join the production as first assistant director when he finishes work on The Mummy 3 in Canada.

It's reported that Miller is looking for actors who can grow into the roles over a series of films.

Like Christian Bale and Brandon What'shisface he starred in the orginal already so will probably duck out. Christ Hans, have you not seen series 3.

I have only ever seen one episode - it was the day of the premiere of Aquaman.

I have no idea what series it was!
