What am I going to do?

My first thought was to call pest control but checking some Google reviews, a lot of them seemed to be geared to dealing with wasps and not too good at rats.

Anyone know any good rat removers?

I can loan Tigger out at a reasonable rate. He’s dead good at killing mice, so rats shouldn’t be a problem.

Seriously, the council health department should be able to give advice.

I've heard he eats paella and drinks Estrella if you're looking to lure him out

It’s probably not ‘a’ rat 😬

Stop complaining. Pulled the loft hatch down couple weeks back and stuck to it was a dead tiny little bat!

Used this company back in 2020. Got rid of a family of mice over a three week period and addressed entry points around the house to stop re-infestation. Weren't particularly cheap (must have been the going rate at the time as I would have checked) but efficient and got the job done.

Put a couple of snap traps down baited with peanut butter. One behind the fridge, one behind the toaster. If you have rodents, they will show up in the traps within hours. Check in cupboards, if signs in there, put a trap in.
The hardest part about catching rats or mice indoors, is the clean up afterwards

Pest control via your district council is , imo, really good. Mine is LDC. They've helped me with rats/mice (don't ever tell them its mice - they won't come out for that. insist its rats) and its free. They come out recently for me within a few days, basically provide and lay industrial good quality traps/poison (thats ok for dogs etc) around problem areas, do follow ups and get rid of it.
