Sounds like he's finished the job himself now.

In many respects this is the worst bit. The families of the dead will never see any form of justice, not that seeing the killer behind bars will go far towards filling the huge hole an event like this must cause. Instead they just have to accept that a crazed madman went on a killing spree for no apparent reason and that their loved one was just unlucky to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think these cases are mercifully rare over here. There was that poor copper in Leeds killed by the american guy who would have been able probably to protect himself if he was armed, but to arm all the police would seem disproportionate.

Er? It says 'COUNTY', not 'COUNTRY'...

Ah i see, thought it was a bit stupid to send everyone there. Maybe if something seems too stupid i should re-read it 3 or 4 times just to make sure!

Seems like they are slightly worried that this guy may have killed some people in the last 24 hours before doing so in the open. Lets hope not.

"He's a quiet sort of fella. He kept himself to himself and lived alone."

Aren't they always??

A child's body has been brought out of a Derbyshire house in what police say is 'a major incident'

Probably too far south to be related.

edit:

A child has been brought out of a house in what Derbyshire Police are calling a major incident, according to eye witness reports.

People living in the village of Holbrook near Belper said up to 12 police cars arrived at a street near the Spotted Cow pub at about 1200 BST.

They said a child was taken away by Derbyshire Air Ambulance to hospital.

Police officers have denied local reports of a gunshot being heard. They said investigations were continuing.

Can't understand why it's never a woman in the long black leather coat and combat fatigues taking random revenge on humanity. Is it always blokes? Why?

Men are statistically more likely to commit suicide aren't they. It's not such a great leap from one to the other.

No doubt the bare stats are as you say - but there are lots of other ways to exit this world. Leaving this repulsive urge for "a heroic last stand while taking a load of strangers with me" an exclusively male compulsion, yes?
